Since we launched, we've allowed applications to be deployed to our platform free of charge. Our free applications allow you to deploy applications with a single process without paying anything to us.
From today, all new applications deployed to Viaduct will cost £2.50/month. Within this charge, you'll be able to deploy a 350MB process plus you'll have access to 1GB of storage, 10GB of disk space and a hobby database.
Why are you doing this?
Viaduct is a small company offering a high performance and high quality service. Unfortunately, we don't have the same resources as large companies and offering these free resources is simply not sustainable for us. We need to operate a model which allows us to continue offering our excellent service and we simply cannot do this without bringing in money.
How does it affect me?
If you already have free applications on Viaduct, these will continue to be free of charge until 9th May 2016. On this date, free applications will have the £2.50 charge applied to them automatically and you'll need to ensure that a payment card exists on your account.
To add new applications, you'll need to add a payment card to your account. You'll be prompted to do this automatically when you next create an application.
